Schedule your appointment:
It’s best to schedule your first bridal alterations fitting at least two months before your wedding day. This will give you enough time to make the necessary changes and ensure that your dress fits perfectly on your wedding day.
Please make sure to bring the right undergarments and shoes to all your appointments that you plan to wear on your wedding day. This will give me an accurate idea of how your outfit will fit and ensure that the alterations are accurate.
During your fitting, you will try on your dress or separates. I will then assess what alterations need to be made, such as taking in the side seams, princess seams, center back seam, dart or strap adjustments.
Please be vocal about your preferences: It’s important to communicate your preferences to me. If you want your dress to fit a certain way or have a specific alteration, let me know. This will ensure that your dress is fitted to your liking and that you feel comfortable and confident on your wedding day.
Quote: An estimated quote for your alterations will be emailed to you within a week following your first fitting. Please keep in mind that this is subject to change if more alterations are required at your next fitting.
Please note our pricing is a guide only and should only be taken as such.
Each piece will be priced accordingly and may vary. Price variations will depend on finishings and fabrics i.e. beading and corseting.
For bridal alterations, there is a minimum charge of £60, which includes the time spent in fittings, sewing, steaming your outfit etc.
Please reply to the email letting us know if you are happy to proceed with these alterations, as we are unable to begin them until you agree.
Be patient:
Alterations can take time, so be prepared to come in for multiple fittings.
Don’t worry, this is normal, and it’s all part of the process of making sure your dress fits perfectly.
Enjoy the process:
Your bridal alterations fitting is a chance for you to see your dress come to life and get one step closer to your big day. Take in the moment and enjoy the process of making your dress uniquely yours.
We hope this guide helps you feel more prepared for your first bridal alterations fitting!
