TERMS AND CONDITIONS - ALTERATIONS AND FITTINGS
Guideline Charges:
Guideline alteration charges are provided at the time of garment(s) collection. These are only guidelines and not fixed prices. Each piece of work is individually assessed by the seamstresses and charged according to the pricing policy. Costs will be advised in advance and agreed upon by you with the seamstress.
Alteration Limits:
Bridal garments can usually be altered to a maximum of 1 UK dress size, depending on the garment's cut. You will be advised of what is possible. Unrealistic expectations or requests beyond 1 dress size will be discussed. Letting out items is charged accordingly but not recommended due to the need for panelling and fabric costs.
Payment:
Payment for alterations will be taken at the final fitting/collection of your outfit, via bank transfer or cash.
Appointments:
A minimum of 3 appointments at the studio is required for alterations. You must make yourself available for extra appointments if needed, which must be done in-store.
Garment Condition:
Alterations are based on the garment(s) you were provided with according to your measurements at the time of ordering. The same shape or fit as samples and lace or fabric matching cannot be guaranteed. Significant changes to pieces will be communicated to you before proceeding.
Responsibility:
We are not responsible for the measurements and construction of garments purchased from bridal boutiques. The alterations process is a separate service.
Scheduling:
All appointments for bridal alterations must be scheduled in advance. The first fitting should be scheduled at least 6-8 weeks before the wedding date. It is the bride's responsibility to ensure that the first fitting is booked.
Alteration Scope:
The scope of alterations is determined during the first fitting appointment. Any changes requested after the first fitting may incur additional charges. An estimated quote will be emailed after the first fitting and must be agreed upon by you with our seamstress.
Change Requests:
Change requests must be made at least two weeks before the final collection appointment. Changes requested after this time may not be possible to accommodate.
Garment Fit Guarantee:
The seamstress will ensure the garment(s) fits comfortably and correctly. However, a perfect fit is not guaranteed if significant weight changes occur or if the garment(s) design changes after the initial fitting.
Garment Condition During Fittings:
The bride is responsible for the garment's condition during fittings. Additional charges may apply for any damage caused by the bride.
Pickup:
A pickup appointment must be scheduled for the final collection of the garment(s). Garments left at the studio for more than two weeks after the final collection appointment will incur a storage fee.
Liability:
The seamstress is not liable for any damages or losses incurred after the final collection appointment.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made after the first fitting appointment may result in a cancellation fee.
Satisfaction Guarantee:
We strive for every bride to be satisfied with their garment(s) alterations. If not satisfied, please contact us immediately to discuss a solution.
Agreement:
By scheduling a fitting appointment, the bride agrees to these terms and conditions.
